A delicious morning with sweet people and very close to earth

"My wife and I really enjoyed our visit to Tra Que Village. We biked from the hotel. Sam was our host and did a great job for us. We first visited the beautiful and so well attended fields with her. We then had a foot massage which was quite pleasant with one the ladies singing a beautiful song to us and me having to sing something to her... This was sweet. We then had a cooking class; everything was well prepared and very well explained. Sam's english was very good. We ate all that we prepared and the flavors were incredible. After lunch we planted a few salads and watered them. Not as easy as it looked... The whole experience was soothing and very serene. This place is great and I highly recommend it"

The very best day out ever!!

"I loved my day at tra que! It was a fabulous and wonderful learning experience. Hwa and Quy were the best! I learned so much about different vietnamese plants and how to grow them as well as the organic farming method. Quy was so friendly and is very funny! He made us laugh. Riding a beautiful water buffalo was a blast! The foot massage was wonderful and my masseuse had the most beautiful singing voice! Lunch was one of the best and freshest I have ever eaten in my life! Definitely visit tra que in hoi an, its the best!!"

One of our best days in Vietnam

"We did a cycle and cooking tour to this beautiful little village from our hotel in Hoi An.
Cycling was awe bit scary at first but we soon got in the traffic groove. It was an easy flat ride to the village. Our guide Luky was patient with us on the cycle leg. She also wore a large purple hat which made it easy to keep track of where she was. The village walk was fabulous and we learnt how these hard working people of all ages spend their long days. Our guide here had excellent English. Then a cooking lesson complete with recipe book to take home. Delicious food that we then were served under the shade of the trees beside the river. This was idyllic. We were served 7up with salt and cumquat - this is the most fabulous drink and we repeated it wherever we could around the rest of our trip. Following lunch we were given an unexpected complimentary foot soak with all sorts of wonderful ingredients, and a foot massage. What a day. A must do."
