Cham Museum was buitl in 1915 with the financial support of the French Far-East Research Institute in Viet Nam. At present, the museum displays approximately 300 sculptures, among which some are made from terracotta from the period between the 5th to 15th centuries. The works were collected from Cham temples and towers throughout Central Viet Nam, more specifically the area stretching from Quang Binh to Binh Thuan. All the sculptures are displayed in ten showrooms named after where the pieces were discovered. After viewing the pieces in the showrooms, you can visit outside exhibition spaces.
1. Half-day Progrmme:
08:00: tour guide will pick you up at your hotel’s lobby, then transfer Da Nang by coach
08:30: the first destination we visit is Marble Mountain ( Ngu Hanh Son mountain) where you discover the mystic caves or climb the top of mountain and enjoy the panoramic view of the beach of Viet Nam.
12:30: take a break and have lunch of seafood restaurant nearby the beach
14:00: Visit Cham museum which is well-known as the "garden of sculptures" and many Cham sculptures that had been collected in Da Nang, Quang Nam and elsewhere had been brought there over the preceding twenty years. Besides, at present, the museum displays appoximately 300 sandstone and terra- cotta sculptures, among which some are made from terracotta.
15:00: Coming back Hoi An Ancient town.
